Manhattan Beach, California…June 2, 2016. Janet Winter Blaschke, President and CEO of International Cosmetics & Regulatory Specialists, has been appointed to the State of California, Barbering and Cosmetology Health and Safety Committee. The appointment, which is from May 15, 2016 to December 31, 2016, was announced by the State Board earlier this month. The Board will hold its first meeting in Sacramento on June 6, 2016. Ms. Blaschke will be participating in efforts to assure that health and safety standards for the professionals in the industry adequately protect salon workers. 

Ms. Blaschke’s extensive experience in serving the Consumer Products and Chemical industries as a product formulator and regulatory expert has given her unique expertise working with companies worldwide on regulatory representation, with a specific focus on the European, U.S., and Canadian cosmetic industries. She is a Chartered Biologist from the Society of Biology in the United Kingdom as well as being a Chemist and Formulator, with 17 years’ experience as Director of R&D of Personal Care and OTC drugs in contract manufacturing and private label products. She has been an active participant in industry trade organizations and speaks on a variety of topics worldwide.
